Joshua Tree Inn
The Joshua Tree Inn, built in 1950, is a Hacienda Style inn conveniently located just five miles from the grandeur of Joshua Tree National Park. The Inn has long been known for the warmth, charm, and comfortable lodging it provides for guests visiting the extraordinary Mojave Desert. You will love the ambiance and peaceful nature of the Joshua Tree Inn. From the time you step through the front door until the time you, reluctantly, return your room key and resume your journey.
The Inn is laid out in a square horseshoe that provides privacy for all guests. In the 50's, movie stars graced the Inn because of its privacy. All rooms are on ground level, facing the desert courtyard and large pool. The decor at the Joshua Tree in is eccentrically eclectic. Most guests enjoy sitting on the vine-covered veranda enjoying the view of the mountains that go on for more miles than you can imagine.
As you enter the Inn's front door, you are welcomed into the living room graced by a native stone fireplace and hearth with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. On cool nights, with a fire flickering in the fireplace, the living room is a wonderful place to hang out and have a glass of wine, chat, or read. The walls in the living room and the dining room are covered with the work of local painters and photographers whose focus is the beauty of the High Desert.
The dining room comes alive every morning with guests' anticipation of their day of exploration. During the winter and on cool desert mornings, you can sit by the fire and enjoy the upscale continental breakfast that is available from 7:30 until 11:00 A.M. The dining room is available throughout the day and evenings for small meetings, retreats and workshops.
Mornings are particularly beautiful and enjoyable here at the Inn. As the sun rises over the vast desert and the village of Joshua Tree, it warms the swimming pool and passes over the courtyard to kiss the vine-covered veranda. You may choose to enjoy your morning coffee or tea seated at the small table outside your room in the shade beneath the veranda, or by the pool.
Tables outside the dining room also welcome guests who catch the first rays of the sun over breakfast. You never know who might show up; it might be a jackrabbit, a ground squirrel, a roadrunner, or any number of wrens, finches, mourning doves or hummingbirds.
At sunset, as you relax from a stress free day, you can watch the nearby mountains change hue from blues to gold to purple. Evenings by the pool are perfect for star gazing and watching the moonrise. On cool desert evenings, you can continue to relax as you sit by the poolside fireplace near a large Joshua Tree.

Accommodations
Each of our charming rooms has a courtside front door and a back door that leads to a private patio with comfortable chaise lounges for sunbathing, reading, relaxing, and last but not least: stargazing. All rooms have a private bath with tiled shower plus cable TV.
In addition to its regular rooms, the Joshua Tree Inn offers two full luxury suites for your choosing:
Room 3 - Includes Queen size bed with private bath, fridge, microwave and cable TV. Has private outdoor patio. This is our standard room and is close to breakfast room, parlor and parking area.
Room 4 - Includes two full beds, private bath, cable TV, micro wave and fridge. Standard room with two beds and private outdoor patio.
Room 5 - Includes Queen bed with private bath, microwave, fridge and cable TV. This is a standard room and is centrally located near pool and breakfast room. There is a private outdoor patio.
Room 6 - Includes Queen bed with private bath, microwave, fridge and cable TV. This standard room is close to the pool and has a private outdoor patio.
Room 7 - Includes 2 full beds with private bath, microwave, refrigerator and cable TV. This standard room is near the pool and has a private outdoor patio.
Room 8 - Includes King bed with private bath, fridge, microwave, cable TV, private outdoor patio. This is where the father of "Cosmic American Music" went from rock-star to rock-legend...the room is haunted...bring your guitar and write songs.
Room 9 - Also Polly Parsons' favorite (Gram's daughter), includes pillow-top Queen bed with private bath, refrigerator, microwave and cable TV. This room has antique furniture and a private outdoor patio. It is located next to the world famous "Room 8".
Room 10 - Padres suite with Spanish touch and extra seating area... includes King bed with private bath, refrigerator, microwave, cable TV and private outdoor patio. This room is larger than our standard rooms.
Suite 11 - Donovan's Suite where the famous troubadour and his muse Linda Lawrence prefer to stay. Includes King bed in separate bedroom and two twin daybeds in living room, full kitchen and private outdoor patio. Great for families.
Suite 12 - John Barrymore Suite. Includes King bed in separate bedroom, twin daybed in living room. Full kitchen, cable TV and CD/DVD player. Private outdoor patio. This is our best and most private room. John Wayne stayed here.

A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. You can choose to enter your credit card details on a secure server or you can send them to us by fax.
Credit cards will be debited a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 at time of reservation.
All Seasons:
Cancellations 7 days or less prior to arrival - one night charge
Cancellations 72 hours or less prior to arrival - 2 nights charge if reservation is for more than 1 night.
No show - charge of all reserved nights
Multiple room reservation on one credit card:
Credit card will be charged a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 for each reserved room.
