Glacier View Inn

Glacier View Inn is a beautiful chalet-style stone building located at the Columbia Icefield Center on the Icefield's Parkway just north of the Banff /Jasper National Park boundary, on the spectacular Icefield's Parkway (Highway #93 North). 103 km (60 miles) south of the town of Jasper, 130 km (80 miles) north of Lake Louise.

The hotel and interpretive center is a model of environmentally sensitive design.

There are 32 Chalet guest rooms. Most rooms have at least two queen beds and a loft. All are well appointed, with satellite TV, direct dial phones, and of course spectacular views of surrounding mountains and glaciers. If you’re traveling with a family fear not! There are rooms well suited for families needing more space than a conventional hotel room, as well as traditionally sized rooms for couples or individuals.

Glacier View Room:
Very spacious corner rooms with two queen beds, full bath and a panoramic view of the Athabasca Glacier.

Mountain View Room:
Large rooms with full bath and a scenic view of the Canadian Rockies. With or without loft.

In addition you’ll enjoy the dining room, the cafeteria or the snack bar, or visit the expanded gift shop. There is ample parking if you’re driving up or necessary transportation when needed.

Ample parking is available in the public car lot, with a short walking trail to the Center. Guests cannot drive directly to the building, however Chalet staff will be pleased to transfer luggage for you.
