If you haven't experienced Tenaya Lodge during the holidays you are missing out on one of the season's best kept secrets. As the winter snow begins to fall around Yosemite National Park, Tenaya Lodge transforms into a festive winter paradise complete with holiday trimmings; tinsel, garland, wreaths a 30-foot Christmas tree and a crackling fire glowing in the fireplace.

Tenaya Lodge Ice Skating
Tenaya has it's own outdoor ice rink available to hotel guests, which is located on Tenaya property just outside the hotel's back door. The beautiful 80 ft. by 40 ft. rink is open for day and night skating throughout the winter season.
Ice skating at Tenaya Lodge is fun for the whole family. Glide around the ice with the kiddos, or take a romantic spin around the rink with your sweetheart. Yosemite's California Kids Snowmobiling
New for the 2009-10 season, Tenaya is giving kids the opportunity to snowmobile the Sierra's on an Arctic Cat Junior Snow Mobile. The snowmobile path/track is just outside the Tenaya Lodge at the "Winterdale" activity area.
Sledding and Skiing at Tenaya Lodge
The Tenaya Lodge provides many acres of winter wilderness adjacent to the lodge for guests to enjoy. Sledding and skiing are just a few activities available every day to guests of the Tenaya Lodge.
Tenaya Lodge/Badger Pass Ski Packages
Yosemite's Badger Pass ski area is one of the best options in the the Sierra's for a day of winter family fun. Badger Pass offers more than 90 acres of terrain for alpine skiing and snowmobiling adventure, plus access to hundreds of miles of cross-country ski trails. The Tenaya Lodge is approximately 30 miles from Badger Pass ski area and offers a variety of ski and lodging packages.
Yosemite Badger Pass Lift Ticket Package
Starting at just $179 per night, these packages include nightly accommodations for two adults and two all-day adult lift tickets. These packages are available midweek (sunday - thursday) December 20 - April 1.
Badger Pass "Learn to Ski Package"
Badger Pass id known internationally as being one of the best ski area's in the west for those who are learning to ski for the first time. Now you can combine a stay at the Tenaya with a day of ski or snowboarding instruction at Badger Pass. Make some unforgettable family memories as you watch your little ones take to the slopes for the first time, or strap on some ski's or a snowboard for yourself and take those lessons you have always wanted to take.
The Yosemite Badger Pass Learn To Ski Packages start at $209 per night for two adults and includes nightly accommodations, two beginners-only lift tickets, two all-day ski rentals and two group ski lessons. These packages are available Sundays through Thursdays from December 20 - April 1.
Badger Pass "Learn To Snowboard Package"
Discover the trill and adventure of snowboarding at Badger Pass in Yosemite Park... the only place in California where you can snowboard inside a National Park. Once you have the basics down, you might even muster up the courage to hit the terrain park for a few runs. After a fun day of boarding down the runs at Badger Pass, you'll enjoy returning to your comfortable accommodations at Tenaya and curling up next to a crackling fire, or relaxing in the hot tub.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides at Tenaya Lodge
Enjoy a rare opportunity to see the Yosemite area from the open carriage of a horse-drawn sleigh. This large wooden sleigh with seating for 10-12 people is pulled by a beautiful team of Belgian draft horses. The ride will take participants down Jackson Road, which is an historic route. Be sure to watch for the wildlife that inhabits the area during the winter months. A Yosemite horse drawn sleigh ride makes for a magical winter time memory for the family or an unforgettable romantic experience for you and your sweetheart.
