Bracebridge Festival at Yosemite National Park
This holiday season, take a trip back in time and join an enchanted feast and musical celebration of grandiose proportion! The Bracebridge Dinner is a festive, musical tradition with delectable food and Renaissance entertainment each winter in the heart of Yosemite National Park.
Since 1927, the Ahwahnee Hotel has hosted this classic Christmas pageant. More than 100 actors and vocalists come together to recreate the Yuletide celebration depicted in Washington Irving's story The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon. The performance is based on the jovial character Squire Bracebridge in 17th-century England.
The grandiose Ahwahnee Dining Room is transformed into Squire Bracebridge's manor, with a colorful stained-glass backdrop, magnificent wreaths, and exuberant banners hanging from the high wooden beams of the Great Hall.
Cathedral windows look out onto Yosemite Valley blanketed with snow as the room glows with candlelight, authenticating the warmth of the season to the encompassing assembly. The Great Hall glitters with dazzling holiday decor as the characters surround visitors with jubilance and song.
Come and be a part of what the Wall Street Journal called “the country's, if not the world's, premier Christmas dinner.”
Due to the length of the dinner, it is not recommended for children to attend. Children four and under are not permitted.
For sake of the performance, please leave cameras, cell phones, and video cameras behind.
