Avanyu, the Tewa Native American name for a mythical water serpent, represents the restorative and life-giving power of water. As water is a vital component of Avanyu's therapeutic treatments. The name Avanyu was used to symbolize the rejuvenation the spa can bring to your body and mind. Through a combination of hydro techniques, massage, and relaxing treatments using only the purest of ingredients, Avanyu delights in natural revitalization.

Reconnect to nature by discovering the essences that speak most profoundly to your own spirit. In this very special treatment designed exclusively for Avanyu Spa, your therapist will assist you in choosing from a beautiful selection of scrubs – an exotic display of fragrance infused sugars, salts, bamboo, and crushed wildflowers. Then you’ll choose a mask from an array of moor muds, seaweeds and oils to enhance your wrap. Finally, choose your own finishing moisturizer from fragrant body butters, blended essential oils or fine hydrating lotions. The Avanyu Legend is an ever changing, ever renewing, uniquely personal treatment designed to awaken your spirit.

Moonlit Pool
Combine the power of hydrotherapy with the soothing touch of a skilled therapist.  After a 20-minute soak in a remineralizing product of your choice, a therapist will continue the benefits with a 25 or 50-minute massage.

Couple’s Massage
Two individuals may enjoy their treatments together in our beautiful Couple’s Room, complete with a fireplace and view of the Gros Ventre Mountain Range.

Featuring the purity and proven results of Phytomer and B Kamins, the following treatments provide an effective deep cleansing for your skin’s unique personalized needs during in the relaxing aura only a spa can create.

Morning Mist
A refreshing facial to purify, nourish and hydrate your skin, customized to suit your specific skincare needs.

Fresh Breeze
This facial is specifically designed for men, using products uniquely suited for their skin.

Twilight
This anti-aging facial restores tone and elasticity for improvement in skin tone and clarity. (Special facial, 2-hour minimum).

Man in the Moon
Combines a back treatment with a refreshing facial to revitalize skin that needs special care.  (Special treatment, 80-minute minimum).

Gentle Rain (Vichy Shower)
A pure sea salt or sugar scrub brings your skin a radiant glow.  The warm rain of the Vichy shower dissolves the crystals.  A rich body butter cream is massaged into your skin for a smooth touch.

Fields of Wildflowers
Following a gentle exfoliation, a soothing gel is applied to deliver vital elements.  This deeply relaxing treatment promotes the body’s own restorative properties.

Wrapped in Stillness
A gentle exfoliation followed by a soothing essential oil massage.  You are then wrapped and lulled into a serene state of mind with a face and scalp massage.

Sweet Earth
After Dry brushing, a layer of mineral rich earth mud will be painted on the skin.  The mud is washed away in a 20-minute hydrotherapy session.  Hydrating oil is then massaged into the skin.

Gifts from the Sea
Exfoliation prepares the skin to be wrapped in a mineral rich seawater gel that restores balance and promotes health.

Avanyu Spa features a special room for couples. A large fireplace, two massage tables, and views of the Gros Ventre mountain range make this room an inviting retreat where any pair can enjoy their spa experience side by side.
