Horseback Riding…Saddle up and ride into the unspoiled hills around Jackson for an hour or two , or a full day trip including a barbecue lunch cooked western style over an open fire. May to September.

Hot Air Balloon Rides…Soar quietly at dawn for an hour long ride with commanding views and enjoy a champagne breakfast. Year-round.

Mountain Biking…Take a guided tour or rent a bike and create your own mountain biking adventure. Trails include gentle dirt roads to gnarly single-track. Conditions are best from April to October, depending on snow melt.

Private National Park Tours… Professionally guided tours of both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks offered May to October.

Rodeo…Old West excitement happens Wednesday and Saturday nights from Memorial Day to Labor Day just blocks from "The Parrot." Bucking broncos, rodeo clowns and children's events are just part of the fun.

Scenic & Whitewater River Trips…It's your choice…a relaxing float past the Tetons or a wild whitewater adventure down the Snake River. Or, paddle a canoe or kayak on the many lakes of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. May through September.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding…Easily accessible from "The Parrot" are three diverse ski areas: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort at Teton Village, Snow King Resort in town (offers night skiing too) and Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, WY. December through April.

Helicopter Skiing…For the freshest powder, book a full or half day helicopter skiing tour. While you don't have to be an expert skier, strong intermediate skills are recommended.

Cross Country and Skate Skiing…Many of Jackson's scenic wonders are best seen in the winter by cross-country and skate skiing. Rentals and lessons are available at three local Nordic centers.

Snowshoe Tours…Trek silently through the snow with an experienced naturalist. Search for animals, their tracks and signs, and discuss local history and geology.

Dog Sled Tours…Under the guidance of an expert "musher," you'll gain a thorough understanding of the basic commands, techniques and sled control. Full, half and overnight trips available.

Ice Hockey Games…Our local team, the Jackson Hole Moose, play most Fridays and Saturdays from October to April at the Snow King Center.

Ice Skating…In addition to our two outdoor rinks, Jackson has an indoor rink at the Snow King Center. Skate rentals and lessons are available.

Snowcoach Tours…Picture a cross between a van and a snowmobile, and you've got a snowcoach. See the same serene landscapes as by snowmobile but from inside a heated coach.

Dinner Sleigh Rides…Enjoy a sunset horse-drawn sleigh ride to a fine dining restaurant where you'll order from the menu, or ride to a cabin in the woods of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort where you'll be served a choice of two entrees.
