Flagg Ranch Resort

Flagg Ranch Resort is about 5 miles from Grand Teton National Park; a great location if you plan on seeing Grand Teton and Yellowstone!  Flagg Ranch is on the banks of the scenic Snake River.  Incidentally the name “Snake” River seems to be derived from an S-shaped sign that the Shoshone Indians made with their hands to mimic salmon!   

Today The Snake River is an all-season resort with log-and-luxury ambience. The newest accommodations are duplex and four-plex log cabins, constructed in 1994, featuring king-size beds, spacious sitting areas with writing desks and chests of drawers, wall-to-wall carpeting, and bathrooms with tub/shower combinations and separate vanities.

In the summer visitors and guest enjoy float trips, horseback rides, and excellent fishing in Polecat Creek or the Snake River. Many activities abound just outside the doors.  The arena is vast with rivers, mountains and valleys that encompass an endless opportunity for all. Summer allows for easy and safe access into the outdoors for fishing, hiking, boating, biking, climbing, wildlife viewing and camping.

The lodge is a hub of activity that draws folks in with its double-sided fireplace, fancy dining room, gift shop, espresso bar and pub with large-screen television, convenience store, and gas station. Please remember while driving in the parks to watch for wildlife and pay attention to your gas gauge! Although there are plenty of gas stations in both Parks, they operate on limited hours so fill up often.
