Glistening at the feet of Whitefish Mountain Resort and reflecting every bit of the areas beauty, fun and adventure, Whitefish Lake lives up to her name as a four-season recreational attraction in her own right. Covering more than ten acres in a beautiful valley at the north end of the community of Whitefish, and surrounded by the grand peaks of the Whitefish Mountain range, Whitefish Lake is a mirror image of the recreational paradise that surrounds her, and a hot-spot for residents and visitors alike throughout the year, but especially during the warm summer season.
Boating, jet-skiing, fishing, water-skiing, kayaking, swimming, building sandcastles, snorkeling… these are just a few of the many activities that make Whitefish lake such a popular destination throughout the year.
A sandy stretch of shoreline, aptly named “city beach” lies along the south end of the lake where the waters meet the quaint town of Whitefish. This area includes a very well manicured park area, a boat launch, a roped-off swimming area several pavilions, park benches and picnicking tables, a concession station, public restrooms and more. This picturesque park area is a favorite gathering spot for many of the locals and offers some stunning views of the Whitefish Mountains including a jaw dropping look at the stately Whitefish Mountain Resort.
