Many Glacier Hotel - "..Most popular place to stay..."
"The stunning views at Many Glacier Hotel are what make this lodging facility the most popular place to stay inside Glacier National Park. this area also has many opportunities for wildlife watching, relaxing or hiking. This lodge is conveniently located only one half hour from the east entrance to the park. The chalet hotel boasts a true Swiss atmosphere from the alpine beauty that surrounds the building to the themed architecture and decor of the striking atrium lobby. This secluded, five-story hotel contains 214 guest rooms within two large chalets offering lakeside, standard and value accommodations. All of these are reasons why Many Glacier Hotel is my favorite to visit in Glacier National Park."
Lake McDonald Lodge - "..Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery..."
"When I think of Glacier National Park, I imagine snow capped mountains, deep azure lakes and baby blue skies. I think of robins feeding their young in trees, squirrels fighting over the last nut, and mountain goats blissfully sunning themselves on the rock cliffs. There is also one hotel that comes to mind, a place where you can see it all. It is called Lake McDonald Lodge. Although this historic lodge is nestled on the shores of Lake McDonald, there are no guaranteed rooms with lake views! It is all due to the fact that the trees on the shore have grown so tall, that they almost completely obscure the lodge from the lake. however, that does not mean that you cannot reach the shore by footpaths. There are multiple wooden paths to the shore, and from there you can see the mountains across the lake. It is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. Grab a book and a camera, and come stay at Lake McDonald Lodge for your visit to Glacier National Park."
Village Inn at Apgar - "..Most popular place to stay..."
"In Glacier National Park, I really like Village Inn at Apgar. Growing up my family spent a lot of time at the Apgar Campground so I love the cute little village and the views of the lake right from the rooms."
Glacier Park Lodge - "..Memories you and your family will cherish..."
"When visiting Glacier National Park my family stayed at many of the historic Lodges and Inns and although Glacier Park Lodge is just outside the park it really is at the top of my list for Must Stay lodging! This lodge has a slightly newer addition, which is connected to the Main Lodge by a breezeway where you can play games, read a book or even take a quick nap. The Main lodge rooms are very cozy and open up into the grand lobby with huge Douglas Firs pillars and a great fireplace. The Great Northern Wing rooms are a bit more spacious and many have balconies overlooking the garden. In the main lobby you'll have to make some time to browse the great gift shop after you've filled up with a great breakfast buffet! This is the kind of lodge that makes memories that you and your family we cherish."
Lake McDonald Lodge - "..A rare treasure..."
"My grandparents brought my mother here when she was a little girl, and she's the one who introduced me to it many years later. Not only did we stay here on vacation but it was a fantastic place for our 2007 family reunion! The Main Lodge rooms are very cozy but we loved our cabins! The cabins are just a short stroll down the footpath from the main lodge although they don't have a view of Lake McDonald you can get there in just a minute or two.
I have to admit that I spent almost as much time in the gift shop as I did in our room, but you just can't miss out on some of the great gifts to take back home. And if you're looking for a 'Taste of Montana' you've got to stop in to the Russell's Fireside Dining Room for some lunch or dinner...you won't want to miss out on a glass of beer made locally that you won't find anywhere else!
With all sorts of activities right at the lodge you could spend your entire vacation right here, Lake McDonald Lodge is a rare treasure that you'll want to come back to every summer!"
Village Inn at Apgar - "..Best views in the park..."
"From the Village Inn you definitely get some of the best views in the park! We woke up each morning and walked out our front door to the rocky beach at the south end of Lake McDonald...and every room has a lake view! This small inn is just inside the park and offers just about any activity option you can think of! . Although we didn't have a room with a kitchenette we did just fine without it. You'll have to make time to visit all the great local shops that are just a short walk from the inn, these shops are unique and you wont find these treasures anywhere else."
Many Glacier Hotel - "..Leave your troubles behind..."
"This is by far one of the grandest hotels inside Glacier National Park! You'll definitely want to have the Bellhop help you with your luggage as the parking area is at the top of the hill, but once you've entered the front door you'll see why this is one of the most popular hotels around. The fireplace in the center of the lobby will fill you with warmth and looking around you'll see the details that make this a Swiss Chalet styled lodge.
The rooms are cozy and many of them face out to the west overlooking the sunsets across Swiftcurrent Lake, silhouetting the massive mountains. The lake is glacier fed and very cold, but there is a boat tour offered from the dock. One of the best things about this hotel is the Ptarmigan Dining Room which has a great menu and with such regal ambiance you'll never want to leave, but if you're looking for something a little less formal you have to check out their bar which has tv's and a more classic menu.
You'll have no choice but to leave your troubles behind you while you get lost in the majestic scenery the Many Glacier Hotel...this is a Must Stay hotel!"
Swiftcurrent Motor Inn - "..Best value in the park!"
"Just a mile down the road from the Many Glacier Hotel is the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, my family loves to visit the valley and this is a great option for the budget minded vacationers! There is not only a motel, but also separate cottages (some with and some without private bathrooms).
We watched a mother bear and her two cubs cross the mountain just above our cabin one day and sheep grazing in the same place the next day. You'll be amazed at all the wildlife there is to see! From just outside our cabin door was the trail head to see several glacier fed lakes, although Iceburg Lake is one of the most popular you'll really want to see them all! But be sure to stop by the gift shop/campstore and grab some sandwiches and water before you head out some of the hikes can take a full day.
This is one of those places that can really bring a family together with so much to do everyone will have a great time!"
Prince of Wales Hotel - "..Outstanding Scenery!"
"This hotel is Amazing...I've stayed at many of the hotels and lodges in and around Glacier National Park and by far my favorite is the historic and stately Prince of Wales Hotel. It sits on a bluff overlooking the town of waterton but it also has by far the best view across the lake back into Glacier National Park.
Although the windows in the rooms facing the lake are fairly small you'll be far more likely to enjoy the view from the lobby while having tea and finger sandwiches, or from the lounge sitting near the fire. There is an older style elevator which the bellhop will operate for you which will get you most of the way to the top floor, but you may still have a few stairs to climb. The dining room won't disappoint with fantastic dishes and desserts. And be sure to make time for the gift shop with beautiful English style tea sets.
This is one hotel stay that you won't soon forget!"
