Glacier National Park Helicopter Tours

Montana's Glacier National Park is fast becoming a much desired destination for many tourist. The flight is a breathtaking view over a million acre geologic park, of which only a fraction of its awesome terrain and beauty may be seen by road or trail. Our heli-tours are also a special opportunity for elderly and handicapped tourists, who are not physically able to hike the trails; and so very little of the Park is seen from the road.

We offer one hour tours and half hour tours. The one hour tour encompasses the entire park taking you up to the Canadian border to Waterton Park. The half hour tour gives you a very good cross section of Glacier Park enabling you to view the Park's major glaciers and lakes. We use Bell Jet Ranger and Long Ranger helicopters. Headsets are provided to listen to the music and the pilot's brief narration.

Prices for each tour length and helicopter type are based on the number of passengers onboard at the time. We recommend making reservations ahead of time, especially if you wish to share the tour with other people to help keep down the cost per person.

Our main tour season is from May 1st through September 30. Our tour hours are from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Mountain Time, seven days a week, holidays included. We also have rental cars on site, all year.

Helicopter Tours

We have a 4 person per tour capacity in our helicopter. Detailed below, please find a schedule which suits your time frame:

Half Hour Tour
On our half hour tour, we will see five active glaciers in Glacier National Park, including Harrison Glacier, Pumpbelly Glacier, Blackfoot Glacier, Jackson Glacier, & Sperry Glacier. You will begin your journey flying over West Glacier passing over the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Your pilot guide will name lakes rarely seen by the Glacier Park tourist as your flight passes above some of the 9,000 ft. and higher peaks of Glacier Park. You will see waterfalls most travelers to this area never knew existed, including Beaver Chief Falls, cascading over 1,500 ft. from Lake Ellen Wilson into Lincoln Lake in the Western portion of the park.

Full Hour Tour

We will expand the sights you see on the full hour journey to include an additional 13 active glaciers, including Grinnell, Salamander, Ahern, Old Sun, Ipasha, & Weasel Collar, as well as many others whose names are known to only the best of pilots, as we fly directly over the continental divide. Your pilot will explain what significance the continental divide has on your particular region of the country, if you live in the United States. We will also pass over the Canadian Border, providing views up through spectacular Waterton National Park, Alberta. Your flight will continue over Iceberg Lake, which was named from the many icebergs which float on the surface of the water. We will fly 2,000 ft. above the lake, allowing wonderful photo opportunities.
