At Lajitas, you may do as much or as little as you like, but you’ll never be without something to do if you so please. Relax at the

Equestrian Center, ATV Tours, Christina’s World, Nothing New, the Gallery at Lajitas and Red Rock Outfitters where you may schedule Lajitas as well as area outfitter activities.

Golf

Ambush at Lajitas

Our beautiful Ambush Golf Course was destroyed in a flood September of 2008.  Fortunately, we are mid way through construction of an all new Lanny Wadkins Signature Course- Black Jack's Crossing at Lajitas- that is majestic in scope.  There will be 9 holes up on the foothills of the Mesa de Anguilla, exciting and challenging play, across arroyos and hills. The back nine will skirt the Rio Grande, perched high above the flood plain with great river views.  We anticipate starting play on this magnificent course in early 2010.

Biking

Short and long rides are available around the trails of Lajitas. Ride parts of the Mas o Menos Challenge course or ride excellent single track trails in the Big Bend Ranch State Park.  Red Rock Outfitters may also help you coordinate an exhilarating ride into Big Bend National Park.

Equestrian Center & Shooting Activities

Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa’s Equestrian Center offers a variety of horseback adventures, from beginner one-hour trail rides to full day
and overnight explorations!

Begin your day with a Breakfast Horseback Ride- After a one-hour sunrise horseback ride through the resort's varied terrain, breakfast at Stargazer Mesa.  One and ½ hour Sunrise and Sunset rides are available.

Challenge yourself at one of the top Five Stands in Texas.  Shooting a semi-automatic shotgun, you’ll move from station to station shooting at a variety of fast moving targets originating from numerous and varied locations.  Shotguns, ammunition and instruction are all included.

Learn to shoot the guns that won the West… single action six-shooter, lever-action rifle and double-barrel shotgun at Lajitas’ authentic old west style cowboy action “town”.  Use of weapons, ammunition and instruction are all included.

All Terrain Vehicle Tours

Visit 26,000 acres of untouched beauty on one of our Lajitas ATV’s.   Our experienced Lajitas tour guides take you to over 30 historic sites on Lajitas property. Explore for yourself the territory that Poncho Villa raided in the early 20th century, and take in all of the natural beauty.  We furnish all helmets, bottled water, instruction and safety equipment.
