The Gage Hotel

Few other historic hotels offer a more unique experience of days gone by than The Gage Hotel in Marathon, Texas. The inviting, comforting atmosphere of The Gage returns us to a time when a breath of fresh air and the magnificent night sky filled with a thousand stars was all a cowboy needed to feel alive.

Historic Hotel

Built in 1920, the Historic Hotel was fully renovated in 1978 to capture the rich heritage of the cattle industry that was the lifeblood of the surrounding region at the turn of the century. In the Historic Hotel, guests may choose from one of two types of rooms: shared bath or private bath. Each room with a shared bath has its own sink and terry cloth robes are provided.

Los Portales

Adjacent to the Historic Hotel, each room in Los Portales (meaning "The Porches" in Spanish) opens to a lush fountain courtyard filled with flowers. Several rooms offer an enticing wood burning fireplace for the cooler months, and each is unique in its atmosphere and feeling. The owner's suite features a quaint sitting area, a bar, as well as a wood burning fireplace.

Wilson House

Just a few blocks from the Gage Hotel, the Wilson house accommodates up to four guests. Built in 1900 and restored in 1999, this elegantly decorated house features a living room with a large stone fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, cable television, a double sized bed and an open loft with two twin beds and a covered porch.

Celaya House

This home is located immediately behind the original Historic Hotel.  Consists of two bedrooms, a sitting area with TV, kitchen, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower, private yard and covered parking.  Featuring the same type of ambiance as the Historic hotel, this home is filled with a sense of West Texas. Two bedroom home with one king bed and two twin beds, living room, one bath, full kitchen and private fenced yard.

Casa De Jardin

Uniquely appointed open room filled with ambiance and romance. Surrounded by beauty and nature, this home fills you with a sense of peace and tranquility. The front door of this romantic house opens into our newly renovated 7 ½ acre Gage Gardens. The Garden has several grassy areas, picnic areas, a 9 hole putting green, an orchard, a vineyard and a pound. On the south side of Casa Jardin is a side entrance with a small covered patio, from this patio is an excellent view of the orchard. If you have children or pets this home is perfect for you; there is a small private fenced in yard with plenty of room for running and playing.
