Restaurant:
Gourmet Magazine's annual issue of the world's best hotels has chosen the Post Hotel as the 3rd Best Rustic Retreat in the World!
The Post Hotel offers renowned fine dining and an award winning wine cellar featuring over 28,500 bottles and more than 1500 selections. The Post Hotel is a Four Diamond award winner and Dirona recipient (Distinguished Restaurants of North America).

Wine Spectator, the authoritative wine magazine of North America, recently awarded the Post Hotel its highest honor - The "Grand Award". One of only four restaurants in Canada to achieve this recognition, which is regarded as the pinnacle of restaurant success worldwide.
Among a setting of character rich Canadian pine and close to the warm glow of the grand fieldstone fireplace, you will savour the exquisite talents of the Post's international cooking team, led by European-trained Executive Chef Wolfgang Vogt.
A native of the Bavarian Alps of Germany, Chef Vogt also worked in the fine restaurants of Switzerland and Austria, where he mastered the art of classic European cooking. Fresh market cuisine with fine sauces and rich natural flavors are Chef Vogt's trademarks.
The explosion of fine California wines in recent years does not go unnoticed in George's cellars. After reviewing the extensive Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay selections, a California wine connoisseur commented that the choice was better than what is currently available at some of southern California's finest restaurants.

Many hotel guests, who have been equally impressed with the list, have highlighted their dining experience and special occasions at the Post with a wine from a particularly meaningful vintage. For example, the pièce de résistance to a quiet fortieth birthday dinner was a wonderful bottle of 1957 Volnay-Frémiets "Clos de la Rougette." Another couple, celebrating their 38th anniversary, indulged in an outstanding 1959 Châteaux Haut-Brion. Worry not, you don't need such a special occasion to enjoy one of these fine wines.
