Where do I meet for my trip?

1450 South Hwy. 189 at the south Sands' office. (One mile south of Albertson’s Grocery.) The Whitewater section of the Snake River is 22 miles south of Jackson, and we will transport you there in our vintage buses.

What time should I meet for my trip?

You should arrive at Sands’ South Office 30 minutes before your trip.  This will give you time to check in and rent wetsuits and booties if you desire. We recommend that you call our office to reconfirm your reservation when you arrive in the area.  This will help us inform you of any unforeseen schedule changes that can result from road construction and varying water levels.

What does Sands provide for me?

Round trip transportation from Jackson, rain jackets, rain pants and rooms for changing. Our life jackets are U.S. Coast Guard approved and must be worn at all times. Group and individual pick up can be arranged at your place of lodging. Pick up service also provided at Teton Village, Jackson Hole Racquet Club and Teton Village KOA. Wetsuits and booties are available for rent.

What should I bring on my trip?

For White Water trips we suggest casual clothing that you don't mind getting wet. Shorts and soft-soled shoes are ideal. We have changing rooms at our office for after the trip. Please remember to bring sweatshirts and towels to be left on the bus for the ride back to town. Cameras are not recommended. Sunscreen, hats and eyewear retainers are also suggested and can be purchased at our office before your trip. Wetsuit booties are available for rent if you want to keep your shoes dry for the rest of your vacation.

On Scenic Floats there is the possibility that shoes will get wet boarding the rafts, but otherwise you will remain dry. Binoculars, cameras, and camcorders are welcome on scenic floats, although we are not responsible for loss or damage.

Are children allowed on the trip?

Children are most welcome. On White Water trips the minimum age is generally 6 years old. During high water conditions it may be necessary to raise the minimum age to 12. (Highest water levels are in June).

What happens in case of bad weather?

Due to unseasonable adverse weather conditions, trips may be canceled or rescheduled.

How can I get photos of my trip?

Photos of your trip may be ordered. Inquire at our office. Wild Water Designs: An exciting selection of T-shirts, hats, and river accessories are available for purchase at our offices.

What is the Cancellations/Refund Policy?
