Main Inn
A new wing of luxury guest rooms and suites was completed in 1998 while retaining the charm and elegance of the New England inn. Many of the rooms have fireplaces and balconies overlooking the ocean. All rooms have king or queen beds and luxury bathrooms with jetted tubs.
A large elegant lobby welcomes you as you enter this historic Main Inn. Relax in front of the fireplace or browse in the gift shop while you anticipate dinner in the famous Reading Room Restaurant and lounge.

Oceanfront Lodge 
64 spacious rooms with outstanding ocean views have been completely remodeled for 1999! Tastefully decorated in traditional style, each room offers two queen beds or one king, and a private balcony directly overlooking the ocean. The deluxe complimentary continental breakfast is served in the lobby of this building.
Take a stroll on the ½ mile shore path, just steps away from your room, and see the cottages along the coast in downtown Bar Harbor.
Our secluded property in the center of Bar Harbor is the perfect spot for a vacation near Acadia National Park.
Newport Building
New in 1994, the Newport building houses 38 comfortable guest rooms with king or queen beds. Rooms have patios or balconies which overlook the grounds. This is the perfect choice if you are looking for an excellent location and fine quality at a non-view price.

The Reading Room

Our suites include the same outstanding amenities and features as our rooms. Our luxurious Loft Units have a second floor with a beautiful view and additional bedroom and bath. The first floor of the loft suites look out over the gardens and have sitting areas on the first floor and a queen bed or a pull out sleeper sofa – beautifully decorated in New England style and nicely arranged.

Reservations require a deposit equal to one night's lodging.
In the event a confirmed reservation must be cancelled or rescheduled, the following policies apply:
Refund:
For a cancellation received at least ten days prior to confirmed arrival date, the deposit is refundable, less a $25 administrative fee.
No Refund:
The deposit is non refundable for a cancellation received 9 or fewer days prior to the confirmed arrival date.
Early Departures/Delayed Arrivals:
Deposit subject to 50% forfeit if either arrival date is later or departure date is earlier than confirmed.
Cancellation Insurance:
Cancellation insurance may be purchased to fully protect your advance deposit in the event you need to cancel your reservation, or change the dates of arrival or departure, for any reason, up until noon on the scheduled day of arrival.
