Bar Harbor's Grand Hotel Era Returns.... Opened in the summer of 2003, the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel is fashioned after the elegant hotels of Bar Harbor's grand hotel era in the late 1800's. Located in a convenient, in-town location and within 1-1/2 miles of Acadia National Park, the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel provides deluxe accommodations at reasonable rates.

Artists Paint Bar Harbor on the Map
In the 1840s, two young painters put the quiet fishing village of Eden (later known as Bar Harbor) on the map as their magnificent artwork proclaimed the beauties of the quaint, coastal retreat to the world. The paintings of Thomas Cole and Fredric Church of the Hudson River Valley School of Painting found their way into popular East Coast salons, inspiring people to journey Down East and see for themselves the island that had inspired such beautiful canvasses.

Cancellations received with at least 48 hours notice (i.e. by noon two days prior to arrival) receive a refund of deposit, less a $20 administrative fee. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice are non refundable.
